The shop
The cut Monroe talks about.
Monroe already knows where to go for a haircut. Since 2024, one barbershop on Alcovy Street has quietly done what most only advertise — precision fades, haircuts and beard trims backed by a 100%-recommend reputation, earned one client at a time.
Paul Humphreys-Wall brings years of hands-on experience to every chair, and it shows in the details most barbershops skip. No guesswork, no rushed appointments — just real conversation and unreasonable hospitality in a barber chair.
- Hot towel finishEvery haircut ends with hot lather, a straight razor on the neck and a hot towel.
- Sports on the TVCatch the game on the shop TVs.
- Good musicThere’s always something good playing.
- Walk-ins welcomeWalk in during shop hours, or book ahead to skip the wait.
The menu
Cuts, shaves & beard work.
Our haircut starts with a shampoo and finishes with a hot-lather straight-razor line on the neck and a hot towel. That’s the standard here — not an upgrade.
Fresh out the chair
One chair. Every style.
Fades, hard parts, lineups, beard work and kids’ cuts — real clients, real cuts, straight from our chairs.
The crew
Meet the people behind The People’s.
Four barbers, one standard: no rushing, real conversation, and a cut that holds its shape.
